Schematic and Developed Design Phases:-
The end of each design phase is suggested by a show to the customer, followed by their approval of the architect's design work. The early design phases need lots of client feedback, and there are typically several changes to the primary schematic design before it moves into the developed design phase. In developed design, the licensed schematic design layout is further refined into a workable building. The designer will assemble a specialist team, generally composed of structural, mechanical, electric and plumbing engineers. Parallel to the development of the design, the consulting engineers perform design work on the systems in the building and supply engineering design drawings for the designer to accommodate into the architectural design.
As new information is bought from the specialists, a challenge for the designer is to keep the building true to the first design intention and in the reckoned construction budget. By the end of the developed design phase, the designer will sometimes present CAD drawings of floor plans, elevations, sections and site plan. The customer could also request 3-D PC renderings of the design to get a feeling of the look of the completed building. The remit of work for the developed design phase varies from project to project and also includes physical models, coloured display drawings and PC animations. |
